Laney Matteson refuses to let her dad down, again. She’s out of time and money, and is desperate to achieve what her father couldn’t, a professional status as a TitaniumPerson athlete.
Miguel Garcia is the battle-tested, elder statesman of the TP circuit. He thrives on the strict routine he’s developed in his years of recovery. After all, these habits helped him rise to the top of the podium time and time again.
But when a beautiful blonde banshee knocks over a rack of bikes then rushes off, he starts to wonder if it’s time to add a little chaos to his controlled environment.
Seeing her drive and dedication to the sport, Miguel offers to train Laney in the three disciplines of the sport. While they swim, bike, and run around Chicago they find themselves more and more attracted to each other. Finally Miguel caves and the two add a fourth discipline to their workout regime.
When Miguel makes a decision he thinks is best for Laney, she has to decide if she’s willing to go it alone or trust his guidance. And by the end of the story we have two people who learn to stop proving their worth and instead learn to improve themselves, together.
