A benefit corporation is a traditional corporation with modified obligations, committing it to higher standards of purpose, accountability and transparency. Certified B Corps are reviewed every three years and they have to score 80 points or higher on the B Impact Assessment.
Shopping with a B Corp means your dollar is doing a little extra. These companies serve a Purpose of bettering the planet or a community with the sale of their products. More companies are moving in this direction and I love supporting B Corps whenever I can!
My Favorite B Corps
Beautycounter | beautycounter.com/erinbassett (20% off your first order with the code CLEANFORALL20)
Beautycounter was founded in 2013 to counter the beauty industry. The products are formulated to the highest of safety standards and the ingredients are sourced in responsible and sustainable ways. These values protect people across the globe. The products are sold online, in store and through the network of independent consultants (like me) who are on a mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone.
Vibrant Body Company | vibrantbodycompany.com (15% off your order with the code ERINB15)
A company that puts a women’s body first. All of the undergarments are designed with comfort and safety in mind. The pieces are made with OEKO-Tex 100 so they’re each certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be unsafe to human health.
My favorite is, everything, but the thong is incredibly comfortable. The bra is about as good as a bra can get. The shelfie tank is ideal for sleeping.

Nespresso | nespresso.com ($40 off your purchase of a machine code with the code YYR653)
Recycled content in the capsules, artist collaborations for causes and working towards carbon neutral manufacturing processes puts Nespresso on the Certified B Corp list! (I feel a lot better about my Nespresso habit now)
Apolis | apolisglobal.com
These amazing bags make market runs and weekend packing so much better. They’re HUGE and wipeable and totally customizable. Each bag is made in a Fair Trade facility in Bangladesh and the women who make them are given profit shares at the end of the year as well as a retirement fund.
Babo Botanicals | babobotanicals.com
