Winter Morning Skincare Routine

With my neck warmer pulled up over my nose, my hat pulled down to my eyebrows and sunglasses on not much of my skin gets exposed to the freezing cold air. But that doesn’t mean I’m leaving it out to dry.

Pun intended.

With the temps below freezing and zero humidity in the air I take extra care to hydrate my skin during my morning routine.

Step 1: Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil

Oil based cleansers gently cleanse while protecting the skin. There’s no stripping of your skin’s natural oils when the product emulsifies with water to cleanse ~ apply to dry skin then using damp fingers massage the oil until it is milky and then rinse clean.

Step 2: Instant Matte Toner

This toner helps to restore the skin’s natural pH balance while removing any access oils and helping to reduce the appearance of pores ~ apply to a cotton pad and swipe across face.

Step 3: Solawave Red Light Therapy Wand & Serum

This is the newest edition to my skincare routine. Red Light Therapy is designed to help rejuvenate the skin. The Solawave wand includes gentle heat and vibration which are designed to stimulate the pores and help product absorption. I’ve been using this for a few weeks, most mornings, and I feel like my skin looks more even, less red and brighter before I do any skincare.

Step 4: Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence

Celebrity makeup artist Christy Coleman described this product like “a facial in a bottle”. Yeah. When I put this on my face feels smooth and soft and nourished ~ dispense a nickel sized amount into palm and press into skin.

Step 5: Adaptive Moisture Lotion

This moisturizer uses plant based oils and acids to deliver hydration throughout the day. It actually adapts to your skin’s needs ~ dispense 1-2 pumps and press into skin.

Step 6: All Bright Brightening Facial Oil

Slug during the day with an oil over the moisturizer. This helps to keep the moisturizer from evaporating which it will do much more quickly without any humidity in the air ~ use dropper to dispense oil on cheek bones and press in with fingertips all over face.

I have also used the Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm on top of my moisturizer to lock it in against my skin. Dealers choice.
